Diamonds are not complicated. The problem is the jewellery industry has made them seem that way — hiding grades behind vague descriptions, bundling prices so you cannot see what anything actually costs, and relying on the fact that most buyers do not know enough to ask the right questions. At Rushabh Jewels, we start from a different place entirely.
Every diamond in our collection carries an IGI certificate — from the International Gemological Institute, one of the world's most trusted independent grading laboratories. That certificate tells you the Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat weight of the specific stone in your piece. Not a batch estimate. Not an average. The exact stone you are taking home.
Walk into ten jewellery stores and ask about their diamonds. Most will tell you they are "certified" without specifying by whom. In-house certificates — issued by the jeweller's own team — carry no independent weight. They are meaningless from a valuation and resale standpoint. An IGI certificate, on the other hand, is internationally recognised and can be verified independently by any gemologist anywhere in the world.
This is the difference between buying a diamond and buying a certified diamond. At Rushabh Jewels, we only sell the second kind.
Every diamond piece at Rushabh Jewels comes with a physical IGI certificate. The serial number on the certificate matches the laser inscription on the diamond's girdle — so you can verify the stone is what we say it is, independently, at any time.
The IGI certificate grades every diamond on four internationally standardised parameters. Here is what they mean in plain terms:
Cut
How well the diamond has been shaped and faceted to reflect light. An excellent or ideal cut makes a diamond sparkle visibly — a poor cut makes even a large stone look dull. This is the single most important factor for visual beauty.
Colour
Graded from D (completely colourless) to Z (visible yellow tint). D, E, F are colourless and the most valuable. For everyday diamond jewellery, G to I colour is a practical sweet spot — the tint is invisible to the naked eye but the price is significantly more accessible.
Clarity
Measures internal inclusions (natural imperfections formed during diamond creation). FL is flawless. VS1-VS2 (very slight inclusions) and SI1 are the most commonly purchased grades — inclusions are not visible without magnification, and value is strong.
Carat
The weight of the diamond (1 carat = 0.2 grams). Carat affects price significantly — larger stones are rarer, so the price does not scale linearly. A 1-carat diamond costs considerably more per carat than four 0.25-carat stones of identical quality.
When you buy from Rushabh Jewels, we encourage you to look at the certificate before confirming your purchase. Our team walks you through what each grade means and how it affects both the visual appearance and the price of the piece you are choosing.
Our real diamond jewellery collection spans the full range — from minimal everyday pieces to statement bridal sets. Here is what you will find in the Signature Diamond Collection:
→ Diamond Rings
→ Diamond Necklace
→ Diamond Earrings
→ Diamond Mangalsutra
→ Diamond Pendant Sets
→ Diamond Bangles
This is where most jewellers get vague. At Rushabh Jewels, the price of every diamond piece is broken down into four components before you confirm your purchase:
Gold Weight & Rate
Exact gram weight of the 18KT gold setting multiplied by the day's gold rate. No estimates.
Diamond Price
Priced per carat based on the 4C grade shown on the IGI certificate. You see the rate you are paying per carat.
Making Charges
Declared as a percentage of gold value or a fixed amount per piece — disclosed before billing, not after.
GST
3% on gold and diamond jewellery as per Government of India rates. Included in your final invoice with full HSN codes.
This level of transparency is something most jewellers — online or offline — avoid. At Rushabh, it is non-negotiable. You should know exactly what you are paying for. That is the only honest way to sell diamonds.
Are the diamonds at Rushabh Jewels real and certified?
Yes. Every diamond piece at Rushabh Jewels comes with IGI certification — an independent international lab that documents the Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat weight of each stone. No in-house certificates. You receive a physical IGI certificate with your purchase that verifies exactly what you paid for.
What is the difference between 18KT and 22KT gold for diamond jewellery?
18KT gold is harder and more durable — making it the right choice for diamond-set pieces like rings and earrings because the metal holds prongs securely. 22KT is softer with a richer yellow tone, better suited for plain gold jewellery. Our diamond collection primarily uses 18KT gold settings.
How do I verify the diamond certification is genuine?
The serial number on your IGI certificate matches a laser inscription on the diamond's girdle — visible under 10x magnification. You can verify the certificate directly on the IGI website (igi.org) using this number. Any jeweler or gemologist can independently confirm the match.
